Salford Academy of Innovative Learning.
Providing quality alternative education to surrounding school districts and Day Treatment services to the county.

This small co-educational school (approximately 22 students) operates in a non-traditional environment to help young persons learn to succeed in the public school and the community.

Individualized counseling, instruction and attention give students the support and confidence to perform well socially and academically. Regular or Special Education students in grades 7-12 have benefited year round from this unique alternative school that is flexible to meet a variety of student needs.

Key points of why students succeed with S.A.I.L.

  • Strong support team of professionals, consisting of 2 teachers, teacher’s aide, case manager and clinical counselor, works in unison to help each child succeed.
  • Small self-contained classes offer individualized instruction in a variety of courses to meet each student’s needs.
  • Unique Physical Education program.
  • A successful behavior mod system, that provides both short term and long-term rewards/incentives reinforces good behavior and academics.
  • Biweekly groups (anger management, problems solving, addictions etc.) offer adolescents the tools to succeed in program as well as public school.
  • Weekly individual counseling working in conjunction with student, parents and other systems to plan and unify strategies.
  • Occupational classes (wood shop, automotive and art) offered 2 intensive periods per week providing hands on activity.
  • Quarterly Report Cards, monthly reports monthly family conferences and end-of-year summaries provide regular feedback to parents and referral sources.

Remedial summer school is available to help students catch up.
